Project Period – 28 weeks – Approx Value – £450,000

Our client required an existing area of farm land be redeveloped to provide a new motor vehicle workshop for an existing tenant. CSBD were tasked with clearing the existing ground and providing a suitable structure ready for the tenants fit out.

Working closely with the client and their appointed Surveyor’s CSBD were proactive in agreeing a design for the structure.

From initial design to final completion the structure measuring 26m x 12m was erected and handed over to the client for their tenants specialist fit out as a motor vehicle repair facility.

The project comprised of the following:

  • Clearance of existing farm buildings including asbestos removal.

  • Reduced levelling of existing ground.

  • Construction of retaining wall.

  • Construction of reinforced concrete slab including formed vehicle inspection pits.

  • Erection of bespoke designed steel frame including insulated roof panels.

  • Sourcing and installation of Siberian Larch timber cladding.

  • Installation of Mezzanine floor and partitioning for offices.

  • Roller shutter door installation

  • Form new car park, access roads and associated drainage.

  • Application of fire retardant finishes internally.

CSBD were at the forefront of co-ordinating our own direct labour force along with specialist sub-contractors in delivering the project and also liaised with the tenants fit out contractors in the latter stages to deliver the project on time.

The project was delivered on time and to budget to a very happy and satisfied client.
