Project Period – 10 weeks – Approx Value – £60,000

Following a successful tender acceptance we were tasked with modernising a 1930’s property to allow our client to accommodate new tenants.

The tender period was fixed at 10 weeks due to the tenant having a deadline for moving and despite the extent of necessary works increasing as a result of damp issues and a failed roof structure the project was delivered on time.

The project comprised of the following:

  • Working alongside UK Power Networks to relocate the existing electric main to allow a new ground floor WC to be constructed under the stairs

  • Asbestos sampling and removal

  • Liaison with Building Control to allow removal of a dividing wall to form an open plan kitchen /diner

  • Electrical rewire

  • Complete replacement of kitchen units including tiling and flooring

  • Removal of a redundant chimney and overhauling main roof to include tile replacement

  • Complete removal and renewal of bathroom to include new shower area

  • Overhaul of all windows including new trickle vents

  • Complete internal and external redecoration

  • Removing overgrowth to rear garden including weeding and replacing derelict shed

  • Construct new picket fencing to patio area.

CSBD co-ordinated all trades and ensured full communication with the client and new tenants to ensure the project was delivered on time and to the correct standard.
