Domestic Extension and Refurbishment Project Project Period – 45 weeks – Approx Value – £400,000

Following a successful tender CSBD were instructed to carry out a large scale refurbishment of an exclusive dwelling in Hertfordshire.

The works involved lifting the roof to a large U shaped section of the building to form a second storey creating 2 additional bedrooms complete with en-suite bathrooms. This work involved designing a steel support structure and additional piling of an existing piled floor slab. The design and sequencing of the works were crucial and CSBD were pivotal in ensuring the work was completed without incident from design stage to final delivery.

This was a challenging project particularly with the raising of the roof structure to the rear whilst restricting damage to adjoining sections however, the works were delivered to an exceptionally high standard and were delivered to meet the client’s timescales and expectations.

Following on from this project, CSBD has continued a working relationship with the client and appointed surveyors.
