CSBD was approached by a commercial letting agent on behalf of their client who had agreed a lease on a semi-converted cowshed for commercial use. The terms of the lease required a significant change to the building to achieve a modern office standard resulting in extensive renovation. The work needed to be completed in time for occupation nine weeks following the initial meeting. CSBD worked closely with the client and provided the design criteria and building specification. CSBD was instructed to proceed with the works as proposed and the renovation was completed in just seven weeks.


Outline of works carried out:-

  • Initial feasibility study and budget costing
  • Strip out
  • Reconstruction of principal building elements such as: Floor to incorporate concrete slab insulation, access floor, data and power suppliers
  • Alterations to external elevations to form picture windows and hardwood glazed curtain walling to courtyard elevation
  • Lighting, carpets, internal and external decoration, toilets, kitchenette, drainage, heating and car park.
